The Education Workforce Development Committee plays a pivotal role in enhancing the skilled trades landscape in Kosciusko County. They meet at the Chamber on the second Friday of each month at 7am to focus on raising awareness about the critical importance of skilled trades within the community.
Their efforts include coordinating workforce development initiatives in collaboration with WorkOne, a key partner in workforce training and placement. The committee actively researches and evaluates work-based learning opportunities, ensuring that local educational programs are aligned with industry needs and job market trends.

Additionally, the committee works to build and maintain positive relationships with officials at the federal, state, county, and local levels. These relationships are essential for advocating on behalf of the skilled trades sector and securing support for workforce development programs.

A significant part of their work involves planning, conducting, and promoting two major annual events: the Chamber’s GPS 2 Success Career Expo and the Annual Education Summit.
